Professor and visual artist Ingeborg Stana contributes to the Art and Craft Conference 2026 with the talk Drawing as Ecological Practice: A Tool for Emotions, Reflection and Collaboration in Schools. The talk explores how drawing can function as more than a technical skill — as a tool for fostering emotional awareness, critical reflection and collaboration among students. From artist to author — Stana joins Fagbokforlaget as non-fiction author

Ingeborg Stana is one of the authors of a new digital learning resource in Art, Design and Architecture, published by Fagbokforlaget.

As an artist, Stana has always had one foot in art history and one in contemporary art. That dialogue – between what was and what is happening now – is something she brings into her writing. For her, art history opens doors: to materials, to ideas, to the ways we see the world.

It is that same curiosity Stana brings to the articles – on form and colour, techniques and materials, idea development and creative processes. Articles that don’t just explain, but invite reflection and deeper engagement.

The full version will be available in spring 2027.
Editors at Fagbokforlaget are Frøydis Hagen Stensund and Gro Brath.
